Last year we went through 20 bags of candy.......so what's the math on how many kids we had?  LOL

This year I will be only 6 days post-op  :)   plus, we are planning to give out little box juices to the kids so no one is tempted.....     Any remaining drink boxes can go into my daughter's lunch!

I usually just post a sign on the door that says "Sorry...No Candy" and call it a night.

We go to a family members house to trick or treat and I take extra candy for them to pass out. My kids get to go and have a blast then they get to pick their favorites out of what they get. Then the rest goes to work with dad for him and the guys.

We have a simple solution that works every year.  at 7:30 I put the remaining candy in a bowl on the porch.  It never fails to be empty by 8 pm.  When my kids were younger I would pick out a few pieces of candy and dump the rest of theirs in the bowl.  Now that they are older I can't do that anymore.

I couldn't have candy in the house preop, or I'd eat it.  It was bad enough knowing the kids were going to bring home more.  Once my son's orthodontist offered cash for candy.  That was nice and my son liked that.  At home, I buy a big box of microwave popcorn and hand that out.
