Those are thoughtful ideas. I live out in the country and usually don't have but maybe 1 or 2 trick or treaters, so I go to the bank and get 10- $1.00 bills and that is what I put in the kids bags, if they come. They love the fact they got money. Now someone that has 100's of kids can't do that, but just 1 or 2, you can. The most we have ever had is 16, but that was before all the kids around us grew up and moved off.

I used to get little toys and give them out for Halloween. After my kids grew up, they said our house was the most hated house in the neighborhood.....
Now I get candy, hide it (used to give it to my son to hide - he's very disciplined) and bring it out for Halloween. Afterwards, I bring it to work, and give it to a friend who eats 1 candy each day (he's stick thin, and is an elite athlete who trains daily)

I don't get any kids where I live. Last year I bought candy and ended up eating it all myself (of course that was before surgery). Just in case a get a few this year, I have thought about just getting those Halloween coupons for a free fry/cone from McDonalds. Better than having the temptation around.
...And what kinda blog pimp would I be if I didn't point out that Bariatric Foodie also has a Halloween Survival Guide? :)

I like these ideas. I got the playdough one year, but my mother still bought candy. ugh!
Last year I made a big deal about it. I told her she bought way too much candy for the few trick or treaters that we get. So she made baggies of candy for them, and boy did they get a lot of candy. She still had some in the house though for everyone else. I didn't eat it. I was only two months out and knew it would eb a bad idea to eat candy. I still don't eat candy. Not a good idea. I'm lucky I can resist this temptation since it is right under my nose. My mother and father have actually had the same surgery, but still eat junk all the time. ugh!
