Your A1C is great - not sure if it is due to great glucose control or reactive hypoglycemia - rapid drops causing low readings. Mine is 4.7 and just great control so can be either way.
Your folic acid is a bit low - prefer it to be greater than 20 - you might want to supplement with some folic acid.
Your b12 is very low - my NUT always has me not take my shots before my labs but I am not sure waiting 5 weeks after your shot is the best idea. Either way, 488 is really low and you need to increase your frequency of the injections to atleast 2 times per month if not weekly. You want your level to be closer to 1500-1800, anything below 500 puts you at risk for nerve damage - do you have any pins and needles or numbness in your hands, fingers, toes or feet?
Your iron is also way too low. Did they do a ferritin? You mentioned taking 50mg of carbonyl iron with 500mg of vitamin C - are you taking it atleast 2-4 hours away from your calcium and thyroid medication? You don't have to take it in 2 doses but you need to take alot more than you are taking. What type are you taking - where do you get it? I recommend getting tender irons from vitalady.com they are 60mg per capsule and they have the necessary vitamin C in them. You would need to take 5 or 6 of them to get your iron level up. You can take them all in one dose. I take 4 at a time but make sure you take them atleast 2-4 hours away from any calcium or thyroid medication.
for your vitamin D - also at vitalady.com get the 50,000 units and take them 2-3 times per week and get rechecked in 2 months. The stuff works really fast and you don't want to go up too much too fast. Then you can adjust after that.
OK. Your iron is very low. I don't see a ferritin level. Do you know if they tested that? How much iron have you been taking, and what kind? Are you taking it with vitamin C? Two hours away from calcium?
Your B12 is pretty low, too. Below 550, people start getting symptoms like depression, fatigue and poor short term memory. Below 400, you can get permanent nerve damage in your hands and feet. So the good news is, you can get this up before it causes any lasting problems, and if you're tired a lot now, you should feel better soon. Getting your iron up with also give you more energy.
And your vitamin D is horribly low. If it's below 80, you're at increased risk for osteoporosis and other stuff you don't want. You may have more energy when that gets up there, too.
These are the typical ones that people have issues with. Some people seem to need to take a lot more of these vitamins than others do, and the only way to know if you are one of them or not is to watch your labs and adjust your supplements and see what happens. The B12 and D are usually pretty easy to fix. Sometimes iron is easy and sometimes it's not.
Have you been doing sublingual B12? How much, how often? And have you been taking any D3?
I also want to mention that your protein level is great. You're obviously getting plenty of that.

I take 50mg of iron twice a day since I got my results with 500 of calcium. Then they will test me again to see where I am at. I take carbonal iron.
before I tested I needed to take my B12 shot which I do monthly. But they wanted me to wait to see where it was without the shot. So I was late on it. So I am hoping that is why it is low like that. I am planning on asking them to rescript me for more shots so I can take it twice a month. Do you think that is enough?
I take my d3 in my calcium pills. Which I am seeing is not enough. So I am planning on ordering the 50000 iuis but how many times a week should I take them? I know some take it everyday or 3x a week. Which will get it up the fastest?
. I am a protein freak. I get in about 100-110 grams a day. So that is paying off.
Thank you so much for reading my labs and helping me out. You are the best.
