Pain in my pouch
I am 3 weeks out from RNY - in the mushie stage right now.
I cannot tolerate eggs - they make my pouch hurt. Cottage cheese, refried beans also cause some pain (not as bad as the eggs, but it still hurts!) cheese sticks seem to be okay. Has anyone else had this problem? I am taking super small bites of everything, and eating slowly, but the pain is awful sometimes!
Any advice?
Thanks!
Simone

HI,
I had the same issue with egg and some other foods. Stop eating whatever makes your pouch hurt for a few days to a week. My doctors office told me some peoples bodies just doesn't like particular foods and eggs seems to make you feel full very fast and can cause pain at times. I found that if I eat something that doesn't agree and causes pain either I throw it up or wait it out for a couple hours until it digest. Another trick is to drink meat tenderizer mixed in warm water to help break down the food quicker if it causes issues.
I not sure what protein products your using but I recently started using Unjury and their very good. I tried several of the baby food meats and veggies some are not that bad either duirng the puree stage.
I just had an experience with grits this morning so I understand your pain.
Good luck
