English toffee sounds yummy. Of course, peanut butter would be good too.

You just have to find the right protein and add the right stuff to it. If you drink it just in milk or water with out the pudding or syrups, you are right, they are discusting. If you go to GNC - they have a money back guarantee- buy it, try it and if you don't like, return it with your receipt for a full refund. Try getting the GNC - Pro Performance 100% Whey Protein. If you like chocolate - check out my recipes that I listed below - they are for a chocolate milkshake with a banana in it - I call it a chocolate monkey and protein hot chocolate made with No Sugar added hot chocolate and chocolate protein - the shake has 45 grams of protein and hot chocolate has 35 grams and they are both delicous. You can alter the flavors of the shake - with vanilla protein and strawberries, strawberry syrups
Here is a link to tons of recipes - I just change the water or milk ratios - I use 8 ounces of milk all the time and I increase the syrup and powders to 2 tablespoons of each - makes the shake thicker. I do hope this helps a little.

Oh, yeah it does. You just haven't found the magic recipe that works for you yet. It truly is possible to make a really yummy protein shake. I know the first few months after my WLS I did not believe anyone that tried to tell me that. But they were right.
