glucose tablets
Since they are intended to be used as for an emergency when you are suffering a low BS episode then you should be ok since this should be fairly infrequent. The only thing I would suggest it try one before you have an issue so you know if you will have any GI issues.

I would stick with something less likely to spike your sugar, causing another crash later (PB, fruit, cheese etc...). I would only use these in extreme emergencies, but if used very sparingly I don't think they would cause weight gain.
Now if you are taking a one a day-that's another story...
