Can we gain weight if we use these to raise our blood sugar? I dont know if they will cause weight gain.

Since they are intended to be used as for an emergency when you are suffering  a low BS episode then you should be ok since this should be fairly infrequent.  The only thing I would suggest it try one before you have an issue so you know if you will have any GI issues.

They have carbs just like other foods.  If you ate enough of them, you would gain weight.  One or two will not do that, but if you use them daily, I would be more concerned as to why that is happening.

Good Luck

I would stick with something less likely to spike your sugar, causing another crash later (PB, fruit, cheese etc...). I would only use these in extreme emergencies, but if used very sparingly I don't think they would cause weight gain.

Now if you are taking a one a day-that's another story...

Thanks all. I have been having issues with rh and am just starting to figure out yet another way of eating. I am increasing my fiber, but still trying to figure this out.

My surgeon does not allow the use of glucose tabs after surgery - she has us use natural peanut butter instead. When my sugar crashed about a week after surgery, I ate a couple tablespoons as recommended and it worked great!
