I'm with Kelly. I rarely do side dishes. Instead I usually make casseroles, skillet meals, crockpot meals and bakes so my protein and side dishes are combined.

You know where to get those recipes, though, don't you Katie?

Yeah...not sure what I was smokin that day, but from the pic it looks more like a 1/2 c. whole wheat bread crumbs.

And I just made this on Sunday SUPPOSEDLY to last throughout the week. Got home from Zumba last night and found that the whole dish of it is gone.

So there ya go.

Quinoa and shelled edamame beans can be made a variety of ways and are good sources of protein.

I recently did a couple salad-type sides with the shelled edamame and they were quite good!!!

Agreed on the quinoa. If you are looking for a grain side di****'s the best one I have found as far as protein goes. I love it's nutty flavor.
