Yum, Isopure smoothies!

I'm not talking about the Isopure clear protein drinks.  I think those are OK but I also think they have a bit of a metallic aftertaste that I don't like.

I'm talking about the ready to drink Isopure smoothies, which I think are fairly new but I might be wrong about that.  Maybe they are just new to me.  I bought a single bottle a couple weeks ago at Vitamin Shoppe and am just now getting enough to trying it.

The flavor I got is orange berry.  They had one other flavor but now I can't remember what it was, but this one sounded best to me.  And it's yummy.  It's not as thick as what I think of when I think of a smoothie.  It's thicker than water but still fairly thin.  I cannot smell or taste any protein and there is no aftertaste (at least not to me, I know everyone has different tastes).  A 16 oz bottle has 32 grams of protein and 210 calories.

I'm gonna have to go back to  Vitamin Shoppe to get the other flavor to try.

I love them as well. They have 3 flavors. Orange peach, orange berry, and berry pomegranate. I like the last two the best. They are more of a yogurt smoothie at least to me.

Yeah, the berry pomegranate was the other flavor I saw.  I don't think they had the orange peach one when I was there.

Sounds good, Kelly!  Do you think that this would be appropriate (thin enough) for my full liquid stage? (I was told that it had to be able to be easily sucked up a ****tail straw)

I am working on stocking up on RTD shakes for right after surgery. My fiance is having his RNY exactly one week after mine, so we are looking for EASY things (no mixing) for the first few weeks!

Oh, it's definitely thin enough for full liquids.

I suggest going to Vitamin Shoppe or GNC and buying a bunch of different ready to drink shakes since you and your fiance are both having surgery so close together.  Get a lot of different ones because your tastes might change and what you like now might not taste right after surgery.  Hopefully, between the two of you, one of you will like the ones the other doesn't so at least you won't end up wasting a bunch.

I wish they had a vitamin shoppe near me. I went to both GNC's in town and neither of them have the smoothies. and theyre so dang expensive!  they charge double what the grocery store charges for some of their items.

Want me to pick up a couple for you and send them to you?  Seriously.  It wouldn't cost that much to ship them.
