When do you quit???
I think that the decision to share your personal journey is a personal choice. You are not under any obligation to share this journey with anyone. If you don't care to share this information with people, I just wouldn't bring it up. If they want to know why you don't eat this or that, just tell them you are 'allergic' to it, because now you are.
Personally, I am over 4 years post op so many people that know me now never knew me before. Initially, they don't know about the 'before' version of me. Usually with time, they will see a before photo or something else will happen and it comes up. If anyone asks how I lost the weight, I'm upfront about it, but that's just how I choose to handle it. Also, the fact that I'm a very active WLS support group leader probably makes my perspective on it a little different.
All of that said, it's a private and personal decision which doesn't require you to divulge personal and private information to strangers.

Do you have a lot of people that don't know you well asking why you don't eat or drink something? I don't get asked that much. When I do, I just say something like "oh, it's got too much sugar for me" or "well, I'm not real hungry right now but it sure does look good" or something like that.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
I think it's nobody's business what you eat or how you eat. Just enjoy being the new you!
