Slider Foods??

I have seen several post that have mentioned slider foods. I feel a little silly asking, but what is a "Slider Food"? What are some types of "Slider Foods"?

Don't ever feel silly for asking a question- it's the smart thing to do!

As for sliders, they are foods that go down easy, and won't fill you up but add to your caloric intake...ie. chips, crackers, ice cream etc...

Slider foods are those that are pureed, such as yogarts, blenderized fruits and vegetables that can be poured. Some nutritionlist even tell people to eat baby food.  Which me personally can't get into.

Ohhh ok, Thank you. I guess thats why the name is "Slider". The food slides on down! (lol)

For me, watermelon is a huge slider food.  I can literally eat 3 cups of it in one sitting.

You are getting conflicting info....Slider foods are ususally carb filled snacks that you can eat a lot of but have a lot of calories. The earlier post was correct...chips, popcorn, crackers, etc....not mushy or pureed foods that you can have early out in your program.
Like.....for me....honey nut Cheerios are a slider...........I can eat a ton of them and never feel full....which equals a lot of calories/carbs that are not beneficial to weight loss....you always wanna be careful of slider foods, when you figure out what yours are......

Wow, thank you for the information. I assume most people find out what their slider foods are by trial and error.

I am glad you mention carb filled snacks and a lot of calories. I definately do not want to make a mistake like that and make it a habit.
