Milk
I'm kind of confused about milk, My nutritionist says that I don't need to limit milk because it has healthy carbs and protein. Iv'e read several times about people limiting milk and milk products when trying to lose weight and I'm trying to lose about 7-10 pounds so I don't know if I should cut out milk and milk products. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I don't do milk because it just isn't a favorite for me. I do unsweetened soy if I need a milk like product and do greek yogurt and cheese almost daily. I would see if 100g of protein a day and 30g net of carbs wouldn't get your weight off.

Well, you probably need to cut some calories to lose the weight you want to lose. You can do that by reducing the amount of milk you drink or by reducing something else in your diet. Since milk does contain nutrition, I would first look and see if there are less nutritious things you could cut. White bread, chips, crackers, candy, sweets? Fruit juice?

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Kelly, I don't drink fruit juice or soda, and don't eat white carbs very often. Not saying that I have perfect eating but I do avoid certain things because I do have reactive hypoglycemia. I also aim to get 1200 cals a day so I don't know if I'm geting too many cals it to little.
