I am 3 weeks post op and every protein drink that contains a fake sweetner makes me ill, I used to drink gallons of crystal light and now I can't. I can barely keep down one can of that 35 grams world wide protein.. maybe another brand would be easier?

HELP!!!

Yes, try other brands.  Maybe an unflavored protein powder would work better for you.

What about trying some ready to drink shakes?  They usually aren't foamy.  Also, are you mixing your shakes in a blender or in a shaker bottle?  The blender usually makes more foam.  If you let a shake sit in the fridge for 20 minutes or so, some of the foam usually goes away.

Thanks, I have been using a blender. I just got a shaker bottle with a metal spring ball in it,  I may have to try  that instead.

What I've found is that some brands make more foam than others.  But I also think some brands dissolve OK in the shaker bottle and others don't see to dissolve as well unless I put them in the blender.  It took me a lot of experimenting to see how I prefer different brands prepared.

My current docter is out on vaykay, so I talked to another about my issue and he said it was a head thing.. and I was like ughhh no, I drank protein drinks for 2 weeks pre-opp with no issues XD

Can't wait to be eating real food again, especially since I love meat lol.

I have tried alot of powder proteins and I have issues with them all, The only shake I seam to be able to get down is Premier its a ready to drink shake they sell at Costco and Sam's club.. I also used to drink lots of crystal light now it is way to sweet and has a nasty after taste so I pretty much just stick to my ice water.  Good luck hope you get it figured out
Good Luck, Lisa
