we are a bunch of smart people
I love this RNY board, not only because people are so kind and supportive, but also because people here are so smart and well-informed. Now, I do not mind answering questions at all. Well, O****asionally I get tired of answering "when will I poop?" and "I am only 11 days out and have not lost any weight in the last 12 hours, have I stretched my pouch?" but otherwise I do not mind answering questions.
But I love it when someone asks a question about vitamins and then someone else responds and says, "Oh ask Kelly, Kelly will know" and then proceeds to give the answer themselves. It just cracks me up. I think there are a bunch of people here that know the answers to at least most vitamin questions (and I am not suggesting I know the answers to all of them, either).
And I feel really excited when I read posts where people are really advocating for themselves, and thereby indirectly advocating for better care for all WLS patients. If someone complains because the dietician at their surgeon's office is giving terrible advice and misinformation, that could end up really helping a bunch of patients down the line.
Anyway, I am just really glad to be a part of this wonderful community and everyone should give themselves a pat on the back.

When I see you have posted on a question, I love to read what you have to say. Sometimes, I will think that you have said what needs to be said and not post myself. Sometimes I think I may have a slightly different read on it and offer that too. We can support each other without being identical and often there is more than one "answer". I love it when someone comes up with something I hadn't thought about at all.

I probably shouldn't complain about that question. It wasn't that long ago I found myself posting a desperate plea for poop-related assistance. I really hated to do it too, but I was in bad shape. I needed help and I needed it right away! And nobody said "More poop questions? Again?" A bunch of very nice people sympathized with me and told me what to do so I could poop, and it worked.
