I Think I Might Be Dumping!!!!!!!

Not really sure, but I ate some chicken salad with some boiled egg in it (the only thing different I have had)  Now I have this weird feeling - like I'm bloated and kind of naseaus.  First I thought I was just full but its been over 30 minutes now and I just feel blah and starting to get chills every few minutes.  What is this and what do I do.  I feel like I need to go lay down for awhile.  I'm not in any kind of pain - just incredibly uncomfortable.

That's intersting. Theoretically nothing you listed SHOULD have made you dump, but the wonders of the pouch are many. It sounds like dumping though. Either that or your body has severe reactions to being full. I get similar symptoms to dumping when I eat way, way too much.

Either way, I hope you feel better soon!

Did your chicken salad have full fat mayo?  Some times but not always mayo makes me have a mild dumping episode with nausea.

Ohhhh yeah, mayo. I didn't think of that. Yeah, me and fat have a definite limit but thus far it's mainly only gotten bad when I try to eat animal skin of any kind.

perplexing, did this chicken salad have any thick dressings? boiled or grilled chicken or egg shouldn't make you dump. :/

It sounds like it could be dumping though, I get chills, my heart races, get the nauseous feeling, and all I want to do is lay down and close my eyes till it goes away.
There isn't much you can do about it except tough it out, usually goes away in about 20-40 minutes for me.

I don't associate this with dumping. It sounds like you ate too much or the food was too dense for your pouch. I have experienced this same sensation in the past and yes it is very uncomfortable. Hope you feel better soon!

Unless you are really sensitive to fat and used full fat or reduced fat mayo in this chicken salad I wouldn't think you would be dumping from this. But I am only just at a year out so I can't say it hasn't happened.

The chills and the desire to lay down are definite dumping cues.  But I have gotten chicken stuck and had chills prior to vomiting.

Lay down if you can.  Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Sounds like perhaps your pouch, like mine, dislikes eggs. I get the same when I eat eggs, not always, but often enough that I only dare eat anything with egg only on the weekend when I am home and have no plans for several hours.

Laying down on your left side can help a great deal. So if you can do that, I would go ahead and lay down for a few minutes.

Every time I dump (and I do so fairly regularly if I don'****ch the ingredients in food I haven't prepared) I feel like I'm dying - totally incapacitated. If you are able to post about it and just feel a bit weird - it's probably not a full on dump!!!

If you are anything like me, I promise you, you will know - there will be NO QUESTION and you'll maybe be able to come and tell us about it hours later!!!

Certain foods upsetting your pouch (and chicken, mayo and eggs are always good candidates for that) can make you feel pretty nauseous and give you chills.

Thank you for all the replies. I had canned chicken, light mayonaise (which i used several times through the soft food stage) and a boiled egg - oh and i ate in on a couple of crackers. The feeling is still here but is subsiding a little. It has been over 2 hours since i ate!! i want to lay down under my des****il it passes.
