did I do this for nothing?
How many calories are you eating.. i'm 6 month out but have had two longish stalls and during both of them I increased my calories first from 400 to 800 then from 800 to 1200 and both times the scale started dropping again immediately. I increased to 1200 two weeks ago and I've lost 7 lbs since then. good luck!
I am experiencing the very same thing. About 50 lbs since surgery Dec 2010 and losing and gaining the same pounds. The result has been only 6 lbs in the last three months. I feel I am doing everything I am supposed to be doing too. I don't have thyroid problems per se but have a very low thyroid as well as low DHEA. Those readings may account for it. I have no solutions, just empathy.
I totally feel ya, I have been in a stall from hell for months although I have definately lost inches. I am 5'2 and go from 151 to 154 regularly..I keep loosing and gaining those same few pounds. This is the lowest I have ever been and my body doesn't seem to want to budge. I recently amped up the volumn on my workouts so we will see what happens. I just want to get to 134 but will be happy at 140. Don't give up the fight, it is well worth it:)
My goal was to get down to 140, but I quit losing at 165. The doctor told me the last 25 lbs would require strict dieting and exercise, and he was right. But the exercise is still an issue for me. I have gained and lost the same 5 lbs for months! And since I eat so little, and my stomach is so small, I am amazed how easy it is to GAIN weight! Hence the battle with the 5 lbs.
THANK YOU! ALL OF YOU!
I had RNY 12/27/2010, and depending on what day it is, I have lost either 55 or 57 pounds. I HAVE NOT LOST ANYTHING SINCE JUNE! I completed my first 1/2 marathon on Sunday, and you'd think that all that training would help with my weight loss, but NOOOOO! I eat between 1100-1200 calories every day and that$#&(#%) scale will not budge! I would love to lose at least another 20 lb. but guess what? I am 50 this year and more fit than I've ever been in my life!
Anyway. I am glad (sort of) to see that I am not alone in my stall!
