I think I need to adjust my goal weight.
Since the beginning I've always had a goal weight of 150. I thought with my height (5'8) and what a normal bmi is I thought that would be perfect. But today I saw someone shorter than me and she is 158 lbs and TINY! She is sooooooooooooo slim. Does't look like she has an oz of fat on her. So I'm thinking I will look amaciated if I get to be 150. Thoughts?

Maybe you want to lose 20 more pounds and see how you look and feel then? Keep in mind that your body probably has a weight it likes. You might lose 20 pounds and think you look fine and prefer not to lose anymore but you may end up losing a little more anyway. Or you might lose 20 pounds and decide you would like to lose a little more and then find it really hard to do so. It's kinda like telling a pregnant woman when her due date is. Yeah, she'll probably have the baby somewhere around that time but there's a good chance it won't be on the actual date.

I am 5'2" my goal was 150 and it was fine... then I had plastic surgery and lost another 5 with surgery and 10 more after due to illness... so while my surgeon was happy with me at 169 (an overweight bmi)... and originally i was happy at 165 then 155 then 150 now I'm happy between 135 and 140... you have nearly 6 inches on me... so maybe 5 pounds per inch so 135 plus 25 makes 160 for the low eight and 140 plus 25 would make it 165...
personally I think you should play it by ear and remember skin weighs something too.

I'm 5'7" and my personal goal weight is also 150....my boyfriend thinks I'm going to be closer to 130-140...but personally, I think I would look anorexic! I think I weighed 130 in 5th grade!!
I guess we just have to wait and see where our bodies "settle"....

I think that'd be a good goal to shoot for and maybe shifting the focus from a number to building up muscle again? And playing it by ear - - just see what looks best on you; if you get down to 150 and it looks too small on you (like you're ready to be checked in to Shepard Pratt's Eating Disorders clinic?), then you know that it's just not the right size for you.

I'm 5'8 and my current goal is 164 (Normal BMI), I'm 173 right now. Ive been told I was tiny/skinny...but I'm not. BUT, I do know I look smaller than a few other people I know around my same weight. A lot has to do with how you are built ya know? Lots of times I think 150 sounds really good (I'm 5'8)...but then I think, man, I'd probably be really skinny...I dunno!
I am 5' 8" and my goal weight is 140. I was 140 when I was 19-20 and I look at pictures and I am by no means a skinny minnie? I have been over 200 lbs for so long I really don't know what is a good weight. I am going to go by how I look and feel. I did lose weight and went to 150 and I still didn't think I was a skinny minnie and no one called me that. I am going to do what my body wants....four kids later I guess it will settle into a weight it wants.
