Well Dr. Rossi saw me yesterday. I am scheduled to be scoped on Thursday. He thnks it is a stricture (have had burning with eating and drinking).
I now have my vitamins, all except b12. Hesitant to take them though after my antidepressant got stuck last night and caused a lot of dry heaves. My multi is chewable so hopefully I wont have the same problem.
CVS was having a bogo sale.
The main thing I need to do now is get active. my weight has been stuck for a couple weeks now and I know it's because I haven't been doing more than normal walking.
My infecected incision hole is now all closed up so now I can finally get back to the swimming I love.

This is good news. (about the vits)  Try crushing them.  Some people have suggested taking the crushed pills with warm broth.  Other's suggest yogurt.  If may be much easier after your stricture is fixed.

I had a stricture that was scoped last month. I felt SO much better after.

Sorry to say, but I still need to crush all my prescription meds....and they taste awful!  I crush them, then follow up with a couple sips of water, then a chewable multivitamin, then more water.

 Within 6 months of my surgery I was able to take quite large pills like vitamins. Just hang in there. It will get better!

 I think my little book (it lists everything pre and post surgery and each appt. we go through the book) says at 4 months i can start just swallowing pills.  I am cutting my little lexapro in half now and am certain i could take it whole as its small..about the size of a birth control pill or a bit bigger but  will wait until my appt. next week to get "permission".  lol

I will have to check CVS, need iron pills.  Glad to hear that your incision finally healed, that is one more step in the right direction.

I take an anti anxiety pill also.  I was crushing them, but I just couldn't stand the taste anymore.  So I cut my pill in half.  If you are taking a capsule try breaking it open and mixing it with applesauce.  Maybe after your scope, you can ask if you can try taking it whole.
