Yeah, I would try Proferrin.  It's expensive but I'd rather pay a bit more and be able to poop, if that's what it takes.

B12 of 880.. is that normal? or should I shoot for a higher number.  Currently taking 2000mcg 5 days/week. (sublingual of course)

880 is fine.  I would not want it to go lower, though.

What is a normal D level for us?  mine is 31, which I know is low..  how much VitD should I start to take daily to get this level up?

We need it to be 80 (according to the Linus Pauling Institute).  I don't know any post ops that can maintain that level on less than 5000 IU a day - most seem to need at least 10,000 Iu a day.

k.  will aim for the 10K a day and then get new labs drawn in 3 months at follow up appt with PCP.
