I understand how you feel.  (We had surgery the same day But  I'm fairly happpy with my weight loss thus far.  BUT you've lost more than I have!!  So there!!

Tthe rest of it is so hard.  The  life style changes and the depression.  Not enjoying food any more....feeling afraid to go out to lunch w/ the gang.

It's hard.  But you've lost a lot.
Try to think of it as you're giving your skin more time to bounce back.  AND perhaps the fact that you lose slower means you'll keep it off.

Try to put a positive spin on it.
Hang in there.
I'm slowing down too....have not started working out hard core yet.  I think that may be my next step.
Stay in touch and be kind to yourself.

I could of written this post myself! I so can relate to you big time. I had my surgery June 2010, to date I have lost 111 lbs. Don't get me wrong I am so proud of that 111 lbs but it's been a very slow process since day 1. I started at 270 lbs the day of surgery and now am at 159 lbs.

It seems like I have to work 10 times harder than everybody else I know to keep the weight coming off. I track my calories everyday and always stay around 1200, get a minimum of 60 grams of protein in a day and drink 100 oz of water a day if not more. I work out 5-6 days a week too. I have to remind myself a lot that everyone loses at different paces, this isn't a race. But I get jealous of the people that lose and get to their goal in less than a year and don't have to work hard at it like I do. I want to pout and cry like a little girl about it. It's a very hard thing to accept and be ok with, at 14 months out I am still not ok with it and get upset but I keep pushing forward. The one thing I will say is the ones that lose weight really fast, easy and don't work at it, I bet anything will gain their weight back because they haven't made life long changes. Myself I have changed my eating completely and my ways of thinking so I know long term I will be a success.

If you ever need to vent or are feeling down let me know!
