Remnant Swelling?

Good morning everyone,

Since yesterday I have had this terrible uncomfortable feeling in my abdomen.  It almost feels like I have had 20 lbs. of air pumped between my ribs and belly button area.  Soooo uncomfortable.

The first thing that popped in my head was remnant swelling.  Anyone ever had this problem or know what might be causing my uncomfortable feeling??

does it feel differant then just being bloated? I know im bloated today and my tummy is out there..i feel so umncomfortable....

I called my doctor and the nurse said that she thinks it is trapped gas.  So I'm going to try some over the counter stuff and see if that helps.  I'm sooo miserable.

So, if you have an obstruction, I guess the remnant stomach could get backed up with your gastric juices and then become swollen.  This happened to me immediately following my surgery.  If it continues, you should contact your surgeon.
