For those of you who get or give yourself the shot. Do you notice that you have an off day for the next 24 hours?

I have notcied the last couple months that this is true with me. Was wondering if I am the only one.

I am not sure what you mean by off day? What are your symptoms?  I have no side effect what so ever.  I have been giving myself b12 shots long before my surgery - for the past 15 years and have no side effects.  I take them right before I go to bed and they dont' stop me from sleeping.

Hi I also have been doing B-12 shots for over 10 years. I started way before I had my RNY done.
I am fine after I give myself a shot.

No, I don't.  I actually don't notice anything.  Many people say they have more energy for at least a few days after their shot but I don't.

What do you mean by an off day?  I wonder if you are particularly sensitive to something else in the injection?  I don't even know if there are other ingredients in there, but in pills, for instance, there are usually fillers and artificial coloring and stuff in there along with whatever the active ingredient is.

I haven't started them yet, but what doing consider an off day?

Do they really give you an option to give them to yourself? I wouldn't be able to do that!

Oh yeah, lots of people do them themselves.  It's cheaper than a visit to the doctor and more convenient.  Right now I am doing them once a week and I sure don't want to go to the doctor every week.  I don't actually stick myself though, my partner does them for me.

Nope, no off day here. No super energy day either. Is maybe something else going on?

I'm currently taking the sublinguals and hate it.  Do I just ask my surgeon for a prescription for the shot?

B12 shots and the nasal spray are prescription, so ask your surgeon.

Yep.  And then take it to any pharmacy.  Your doc can show you how to do them if you're not sure, but it's easy.
