You are doing fine!  You have lost 100 lbs in 5 months.. eating cake/a taco and some champagne and not going over 1000 calories is not doing bad.. you aren't overindulging and eating 3000 calories.. you just had a few treats it was a special occassion and a holiday.. My daughter is making a huge cupcake cake and I intend on eating a piece in a minute!  Exactly what Kelly said you can't be perfect 100% of the time.. and would you really want to? You should be able to enjoy food sometimes and you are doing that without overdoing it so don't stress.

That's really the essential lesson of all this. Really. How do you balance it?
No one is perfect and if they are they would be so boring to be around. They would not be human.
Next meal..next opportunity to eat what you think is best for your body.
You can do this. Feeling guilt is a waste of time.
Happy Anniversary btw.

Everyone has slip-ups, but I think the difference between success and failure comes down to what you do after the mistake.

If you can learn to not beat yourself up, and just do better on the next meal....it will go a long way. We don't need more shame about food, if you're anything like most of us, we've been shamed about it waaay too many times.

But if you can say to yourself, "Whoops, over did it, better make sure I have a healthy breakfast in the morning." you'll be in much better shape than if you just beat the crap outta your brain.

It's not easy, but you can retrain yourself to be kinder and gentler, just imagine that you are talking to someone you love...cuz hopefully you are.

goodness

food is not good or bad it's not horrible or golden..it's just FOOD.

goodness it was your anniversary... please.

what would you have had a year ago???

STOP IT!

I am no poster child for good or bad.. I eat crap. I do.  but I also eat  and crave  things like yogurt and cottage cheese and fruit and veggies...

in the end if you learn to love the "better" foods.. it all balances out.

FOR SHAME ON YOU!!!!

Not for your food choices but for feeling guilty for being human.  So you had an off week or weekend, but you ain't broke you know what to do and besides it was a special occasion.

Remember you aren't on a diet, well unless you want to diet your whole life, but rather you have a new and healthier lifestyle.  Guess what?  Healthy people eat Tacos and cake sometimes we just don't eat a dozen tacos or a whole cake.

So what do you do now?  Well the celebration is over you move on and make the good choices again.

Oh yeah and if you really enjoy the guilty feeling and would like to atone for your weakness you can always go run a 5K on a Saturday morning .
