She removed a bunch of adhesions  (from all over) and removed the mesh as well.  She also checked out my pouch, stoma and the remnant stomach tro be sure everything there looked fine.

Yeah, lots of people don;t go to the main forum... I just wasn't thinking very clearly at the time, LOL.

So glad she was able to find the cause of your pain and remove it.  I'm curious, does your body outgrow the need for the mesh?  I'm having a hernia repaired in October with a LBL and my doc will probably put in a mesh since it's so big.  Does everything eventually heal so you don't need the mesh?

Take it easy and heal.  I'm happy you're doing so much better.

So glad you got this taken care of; wait and see how amazing you feel when you are healed up!

Adhesions are very painful, especially when they start to grow and twist  your intestines; the pain is so sporadic and nothing helps either.

When I had my GB out in May 2011, I asked my surgeon if he thought I would get more adhesions from this surgery (I had the band in, taken out, and RNY all within a year; the adhesions removed in May 2010) and he said probably not, and said he didn't see any where he had removed them the year before.

It's a crap shoot; sometimes surgery makes more, sometimes not.  It's a risk worth taking if you can get rid of that awful pain!

Edited to fix dates!
