Being silly about the speed of my weight loss
Today at the end of the month I realize that I'm being completely silly. I keep feeling like I'm at a stalled but in reality I'm not. I feel like Ive lost nothing for the month of august But looking through my weight tracker I realize I've lost 10 pounds which is pretty good. I think I got used to losing a pound a day for so long and seeing the scale not move a few days in a row gets to me. I'm deciding to turn over a new leaf and just be happy that I'm losing at all. Whether t be 2 pounds in a month or 20. I am not at a stall... I just had to verbalize this so I would be accountable.
I did a spreadsheet too Nessa.
Put that dang scale away---or at least only weigh once a week....I only weigh on Friday morning 1st thing--and have done that since surgery.
You are doing just fine--we understand how your whole life is consumed by first getting surgery, then getting THROUGH surgery, then losing the weight and getting to goal. Be prepared, because once you get to goal you may have a NOW WHAT???!!! moment.....be ready with other goals to take up your time and energy---like new fitness goals.
Wishing you much continued success!!

IF I had weighed ONCE a week I would have had a rough time.. there are days that I go up 3 or 4 pounds and I would have showed way more gains over a week's time than had I been weighing daily.
IF you can control how you cope with the daily fluctuations of the scale I think it' can be a worthwhile thing to track the trends... that's how I learned to have A RANGE vs a specific exact weight.

katie! you're exactly like me. i've been stuck at 199 for 3 days which feels like FOREVER but since August 12th i've lost 7.5 pounds which will probably be 10 by september 12th. Days when you dont loose make you rethink every little thing you ate and drive you crazy. my goal weight of 155 is so close i can taste it...but its still 44lbs away =/
