Do you work? If not perhaps finding activities that you have to go to or responsibilities through the week that will keep you busy. I deal with depression off and on and winter is the hardest time for me. I'm not working outside of the household and I have found that creating weekday activities helps as well as forcing myself to exercise daily. Exercise is proven to help depression as well. Hope you find what works for you!

I work part time from home as a freelance writer.  I am also on disability for depression and PTSD.  I used to work fulltime as a social worker, before I had to go on disability.  Working part time and from home is good in the sense that it doesn't create a huge problem if I can't work one day, but it's not so good in that I don't really get to interact with other people and it's not a responsibility that forces me to get out of bed every day.

I'm right there with you Kelly.  I've been fighting not getting back on depression meds but conceded this morning when I went to my PCP.  I HAVE to do this for myself and my boys.  I also had my iron labs ran again to see where I stand since my iron infusions in early July.   It could be two-fold for me, although I do know I have some depression issues to deal with also.

This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.
