ON Tuesday i get to start on soft/pureed foods.  The thought of putting my food in a blender and drinking it completely grosses me out and i don't think i will be able to do it.  what were some of the soft foods that you started out on when you got to this stage.  I know about eggs and refried beans.  Pledase give me any other ideas you may have had or tried.  I am desperate for some variety!!

Well, you won't be drinking your food per se but it should be a pretty liquidy consistancy. I did as much protein shakes as I could tolerate (which wasn't alot) and pureed ground turkey in gravy & chicken broth. It looked like cat food but tasted good with enough spices. Others have suggested putting unflavored protein in pureed soups. Unjury chicken broth was my savior!

I am doing the eggs, refried beans with cheddar and oatmeal.  I am not putting anything in a blender  I am just eating very soft foods and chewing really well. I did have a bit of chicken and rice soup for dinner last night.  The veggies in it where so soft ya didn't even have to chew, but I did anyway. I am having cottage cheese later today and it is small, so I will just chew chew chew. I am enjoying the texture of food again.  I cannot wait to have something like a piece of chicken.

I made the baked ricotta chese alot!  I found I was missing hot food, and bullion just didnt cut it.  I also made my favorite bean soups and hit them once or twice in the blender (magic bullet) which made it perfect.  I never made anything liquified, just kinda smooth.   I also looked at several website for recipies for this stage.  Bariatricfoodie and  the world according to eggface have suggestions for foods at this stage.  Good luck....at least this phase doesnt last to long.

I did not put ANYTHING in a blender becasue my plan called for SOFT foods, not PUREED foods.  I ate scrambled eggs and cream of wheat before I even left the hospital, and then added cottage cheese, FF refried beans, yogurt, tuna, several kinds of hard cheeses, soups, NSA applesauce, and even moist chicken (but lots of people have trouble with chicken).

SF yogurt, popsicles, pudding, cottage cheese. I baked some refried beans with some cheese on top then added salsa and sour cream, I pureed some chicken and mixed it with hot sauce and added a little cheese to that, also baked cottage cheese with sauce and mozz and ital seasoning, mashed potatoes with gravy, soup, I was able to have crackers on my pureed stage so I did that with soft cheese and pb.

My first was egg salad. I had a few pieces of soft macaroni & cheese, but also did cottage cheese with a sprinkle of powdered ranch dressing. All of it went down nice and smooth and it was easy.

My first was Greek yogurt with some habenaro jam in it. I think it was best thing I had ever ate that was after 30 days of liquid.
