Going to be a big girl...by pouch requires it!!!!

Ok...so now it's time to put on my big girl panties and deal with it!!  I've been pouting all week about my son being gone.  You've all heard my whining! LOL  Yesterday, I visited my local doctor and got some meds for my infinite crying so today I am feeling a little more relaxed and at ease.

Anyhoo....at the beginning of the week I thought that I was doing good.  I lost a pound Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.  Wednesday I had a really bad day and ate mexican TWICE!  Very small amounts but still sooo much sodium and wayyy too many carbs.  And you guessed it...it caught up with me today.  I'm UP 2 lbs!!  Old habits die way too hard, but thank you goodness our pouch is forgiving.

Today I will be a big girl.  I will stop pouting and I will suck it up.  I refuse to sabatage all my hard work.

That is a good attitude.  Life is going to throw curve balls every now and again, and you might find you turn to your old friend, food.  When it happens, it happens.  Don't beat yourself up, just get back on track and exercise more to work off the extra calories.

Remember, this is for life, and you can't "diet" forever.  If that worked, we wouldn't need WLS!  Everything in moderation and compensating for it with additional exercise seems to be the key for me.

Best to you.

If all of this would have happened 5 months ago, I would have eaten myself into a chocolate stooper!  And instead of 2 lbs, I would probably be about 10 lbs heavier by now!  I love my WLS.

I wish I wasn't so allergic to loss and couldn't count on me regressing to my familiar comfort- food! Are you in the same boat, by any chance?

So forgive yourself and get back on track! That's all we can do!

Exactly Anne.  Food was our best friend.  It has been de-friended. LOL

Sodium is temporary water weight gain so no worries there.
My son is planning on going into the army next year so I understand.  I am already starting to fret.

As an army wife my mantra is:

Deep Breaths.

One Hour at a time...
