4. I'm excited to have children. Thats the big one for the future. The best one now is fitting in a medium shirt and a size 14 pants! No more plus size!

2) July 15, 2010
3) Chobani raspberry yogurt with low fat granola on top, Power Pak protein pudding, salads, fresh tomatoes, WW ice cream bars, Triscuits thin crisps for nibbling very slowly (I have to portion them out and BITE MY HAND to not eat too many), anything my hubby cooks for us (AND he cleans up after!) (Did I say I have great hubby?)
4) So many to be grateful for: health issues resolved, being called tiny and told I look fabulous, fitting into size 2-4 (!), being told I look 10 years younger than my age (60), and best: being able to run 5 miles without stopping! That last one about running is a flat out miracle, even though I hate doing it!

Thanks for the questions, Nik!

1. Your first name (if it isn't already apparent):

It's apparent, but for the sake of continuity, my name is Jim (no nicknames although my wives would probably add asshole and ****head to the list).

2. Surgery date

5/23/2011

3. Current food obsession (or, the food that you currently tolerate the best)

Unfortunately, I'm in an addiction free period, so I'm not craving anything in particular.  I tolerate everything, even chicken which I wasn't able to tolerate the first eight weeks.  In the past three months, I've had obsessions with cottage cheese, almonds, peanut butter, hamburger patties (fresh ground sirloin from the butcher), orange creamsicle protein shakes, etc., etc., etc..  Each one of those obsessions lasted a week or two, but right now, I'm not into anything in particular.

4. Best NSV (non-scale victory) either so far or that you are looking forward to

Yesterday my wife and I went to a concert where we sat on the lawn (this is an outdoor venue in NJ) on some rental folding chairs.  I used to squeeze my sizable girth into those poor unsuspecting chairs, but last night the chair was actually a bit too wide as we discovered when my wife shoved her pocket book between me and my armrest when she scurried off to the restroom.  We had a moment where we just looked at each other in stunned disbelief.  When she came back she insisted that we take a picture (see avatar) together (I always shied away from the camera) since it was a monumental occasion which should be immortalized.  Of course I pointed out that if it was so monumental why didn't she postpone her trip to the bathroom.  She responded with an expletive (see answer #1).

3. Currently, I'm really into salad. Lol, I couldn't have it for two months and now I LOVE it!
4. Best NSV...I'm a college student. Last semester, I could barely close the desks because I couldn't really fit and felt very self-concious. This semester, I fit PERFECTLY! NO problem, there are even a few inches of room :)

3. Current food obsession (or, the food that you currently tolerate the best)  Hmm always cheese, lately (hide your eyes if you dump) I'm eating WAY TOO MANY Little Debbie cakes.  I need to get them out and keep them out of the house.

4. Best NSV (non-scale victory) either so far or that you are looking forward to  The only that always sticks in my mind is about 6 months out of surgery my then almost 6 year old was playing outdoors with his Dad while I had been cleaning house all day.  I was sweaty, no make up and when I finished and went to see what they were doing he looked up at me and said "Mom, you are beautiful".  I'll NEVER forget that day!
