my RNY surgeon has now agreed to do an exploratory lap surgery...
Lora, all things considered, I don't think you should have any reservations about having your surgeon go in and take a look. You've been fighting for this moment long enough to know that it's the right thing. Just because she wouldn't do the surgery before doesn't mean she isn't a caring and competent practitioner. Go sign that paperwork tomorrow and put an end to the struggle of trying to have someone go in there for a look. I truly hope that this resolves, or at a minimum identifies the pain. Good luck!

Well it's about time someone did something for you!!! I am so happy to hear that a good surgeon is going to take a look and try to get to the bottom of this pain issue. It sounds like you have a good plan, and with it being laparoscopically done, the recovery time should be easy for an old pro to open surgery such as yourself.
