my RNY surgeon has now agreed to do an exploratory lap surgery...

If it was me, I think I'd let her go ahead and do it next Tuesday but I would not cancel my appt with the other surgeon yet.  Just in case she ends up changing her mind or something, or in case she goes in and can't find anything, you may still want to see the other surgeon after all.  So I'd wait until after Tues to cancel that appt.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

Yeah, good idea.  I'm definitely not cancelling the apppintments at the Cleveland Clini****il after surgery with her, since she might not find anything... and then I'm not sure what to do.

Hi Lora, I am so happy for you that you will finally have the exploratory surgery that you've been wanting for so long. I sincerely hope they finally get to the bottom of this and that they are able to resolve it. I also agree with Kelly that you shouldn't cancel your appt with the new bariatric surgeon until after next week. Good luck with everything.

I'm happy for you! They need to figure what is causing the problem. Shouldn't have to live like that. Hope things go well, will be thinking about you

That is fantastic news!  Although very disappointing it took so long for you to be taken seriously.  Best of luck on Tuesday!

I think you 've made a good decision and Kelly's advice is wise as well.  I wish you the best success for answers to your pain.  For all of the wonderful advice you have given here, you deserve a heap of good karma in return.  Will be praying for you!
