OT: He's gone.....
My nephew became a Marine last summer. It was hard for my sister to see him go. But he is really happy and doing so well. They'll take very good care of Chris. They'll challenge him, yeah, but they'll also take care of him.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
I told him to remember 3 things... #1 they can't physically put their hands on him..it's just screaming and he should be used to that LOL... #2 they can't eat him, it's against the law... #3 they WILL take care of him, best babysitters in the nations!

Hey Tonya, Not the same Air Force................ They barely scream at them now. New Day. New Rules. Even before my husband retired in 08 from the Army, the rules for Basic Training had changed. To tell the truth, I wish they were training/preparing these young people the old way. I guess by my husband being in the military it was easier to let my sons go in the Air Force when they left. And the hardest part for me was the recruiter coming to the house to get my baby boy. But! They will take care of him. AND...................... He will always be your baby! You will hear from him soon! God Bless You & Your Family.................................
