What's for dinner - Earthquake Tuesday!

Can I just start by saying that is NOT how I prefer to feel the earth move? I was sitting at my desk, working hard (as always) when I felt a jiggle and thought "a big truck must be going by." Then there was a rattle and my desk moved and the floor under my feet. My thoughts immediately zoomed a mile away where the divas were at home. Funny that I live smack in the middle of "da hood" (by all accounts, even according to "The Wire" *****gularly filmed in my neighborhood) and it's an earthquake (a once in a "whatever amount of time" event) that made me fear my children's safety the most.

Anyway, dinner tonight will be taco casserole. I was going to try to make it to the gym tonight but I have too many things I need to do. Sigh.

Here's what I've had today:

1. A tablespoon of PB (which, for whatever reason, made me hella full until lunch time)
2. Something a restaurant called a Ladykiller salad that had salad greens, tomatoes, cukes, black olives, shrimp, crab meat, bacon, eggs, banana peppers...it was just trying to be too many things at once.
3. A chocolate protein muffin with some of Kitten's Love Potion #9 frosting!

Breakfast was a feta omelet and cantaloupe; lunch was some pork tenderloin in Thai sauce and cantaloupe; dinner is a yummy shrimp stir fry with roasted veggies & oyster sauce. I'm feeling a little sad that I'm only eating 2-3 Tbs of meat & the same of veggies. I guess some days I just miss the volume, the stuffing (even though I'm embarrassed to admit it). I guess that's why I'm taking a break between bites to write. :)

Tonight will be grilled pork loin, broccoli and however much taco rice w/ black beans my pouch will allow.

The rest of my day was not the greatest.

B:  Turkey sausage, egg and pepper jack on a slice of whole wheat toast.
S:  Four Hershey's kisses and a mini Reese's
L:  Leftover steak smothered in black beans, salsa and Frank's Red Hot (I put that s*!t on everything!) and three fresh figs.
S:  Apple, cucumber and jelly beans (PMS anyone???)

I am not happy w/ my protein intake for the day so I will probably sneak a protein bar in later tonight and call it good.

Nik - As weird as it sounds, I was almost jealous of my east coast friends experiencing the rockin' and rollin' of the earthquake.  As a California transplant now living in the midwest I would take the earthquakes over tornado warnings anyday!   :)

I call it Spa-chili.  I make spaghetti for my husband and he likes cannellini beans in it.  But I don't eat pasta so much anymore.   So he has spaghetti with meat sauce and I have a bowl of spa-chili. (I mean really take out the mushrooms, green pepper and change the spices and you've got chili with white beans, thus my attempt at a cute name. Hey, I tried.)  I don't miss the pasta.  I found that having to chew it so well really makes it gross and pasty.

Pre-B: Grande Fat Free Latte
Breakfast: vitamuffin top-banana nut with serving of PB2
Lunch:slice turkey and 1/2 slice of american roll up with smear of dijon.  2 tlbspns red pepper hummus with a few slices of seedless cucumber.

LOL!  You ladies were of no help to me today... you all ate like I did - kinda ****ty!

I feel like I'm eating the SAME thing day after day...staying at the same damn stall...month after month...and I'm bored!  I need ideas - I do EAS Protein shakes, Chobani yogurt, cottage cheese as my daytime staples and then a meat of some sort with a veg for dinner.  I'm just sick of the same-ole-same-ole but, I'm scared to change.  I'm still 15 lbs from my goal and Friday my bariatric doc is submitting the request for approval for my panniculectomy and I'd like to have at least 1/5 of the 15 lbs off by then.

If you ladies have ideas for daytime eats different than mine and would share, I'd appreciate it!

Thank you!
