CVS brand protein powder
Yesterday I had to pick some prescriptions up at CVS and I wanted to try their new brand of protein powder. You can buy it in individual packets. I already forgot how much one packet was, but it was reasonable. I got vanilla because I usually like vanilla protein shakes better than chocolate.
Today I went grocery shopping and picked up some sugar free caramel syrup so when I got home I decided I wanted protein coffee. A caramel vanilla protein latte, to be exact. Iced.
So I mixed the protein powder with two tablespoons of sugar free caramel syrup and enough water to make a paste, then stirred that into the coffee along with my daily dose of Miralax, a packet of Upcal D and a couple pactets of Splenda.
Even though I did the protein the way I usually do it, mixing it into a paste before putting it in my coffee, I ended up with a few tiny clumps. However, the clumps were mostly floating on the top of the liquid so I was able to simply scoop most of them out with a spoon. It turned out pretty good.
