Oh Yeah vanilla creme shake

I finally got around to trying the vanilla.  When I first tasted it I thought it was OK but then I took another drink and there was just something I didn't like about it.  I can't explain what it was.  Something was just off.

But then I dumped a spoonful of  Maxwell House International French vanilla cafe mix in there - my favorite way to fix vanilla protein shakes that I otherwise don't like - and shook it up really good and now it's OK.  I still don't love it but I like it enough that I'm gonna drink it.  Actually, I am gonna drink two of them, because they sent me an extra vanilla instead of chocolate.  So I will have the other another day.

I really loved the banana and will definitely buy some of those.  The Cookies n Creme was pretty good, too.  Strawberry?  Ick.  I took about two drinks, then poured it down the drain.

I agree.  But since I have it right here, I'd like to drink it if I can make it at least taste OK.  Which the coffee added to it did.  I swear, a little coffee will make any vanilla shake at least tolerable.

I'm not a fan of plain vanilla of anything, and hate most artifical strawberry flavored things, but I do love the chocolate.  Hopefully you can find one to try even though they did not send you one.  With all this talk of the Oh Yeah shakes, I stopped at the place I usually buy them and they were out of chocolate, so there must be some kind of production issue or something.  I did buy two banana ones, though.

I don't really mind that they didn't send me a chocolate because I've never been a big fan of chocolate milk or chocolate shakes.  Chocolate candy, cake, cookies, brownies.... yeah.  Milk?  Not so much.

I'm gonna stop at my local Vitamin Shoppe tomorrow for some protein bars and see if they have the banana Oh Yeah there.

Okay you guys have me wanting to try the cookies-n-cream one now...lol After I tasted the strawberry one...ick...I wasn't about to touch anymore of the OhYeah. Yeah to me it WAS THAT BAD... I didn't get a chocolate one either. Any ideas of anything else to add to the vanilla one besides coffee? I don't care much for coffee but I didn't like the Vanilla one either...

Nik just put something on Bariatric Foodie the other day about one ingredient fixes for a vanilla shake.  Of course I can't remember what they all were now.

You could put some sugar free chocolate syrup in it to make it chocolate.  I've done an orange creamsicle thing with a little packet of orange crystal lite (well, actually I think it was the cheaper walmart brand).  You could add any flavor sugar free syrup you wanted.

One thing I have learned is that just because you don't like one flavor of a brand of protein, that does not mean you won't like another flavor of the same brand.

I got my samples Monday, also no chocolate but 2 vanilla's they are alright, drinkable, the banana was awesome according to my son who thought it was just a "milk shake" and had it as an afternoon snack, but the strawberry...OMG  I thought it was just me, so I had my husband try it and he said...Hope there is something some kind of wrong with that! He was gagging in the sink and making all kinds of faces...at least I got some enjoyment out of it...

Haven't tried the cookies and cream yet, the strawberry scared me a bit to much...maybe after surgery I'll try it...just 4 more days until my date with the surgeon!!
