Symptoms for Gall Bladder Issues?

Mine was horrible pain in the center below my ribs.
It felt very similar to having an ulcer.
I always said it was like someone was stabbing me with a hot knife.
If I ate anything high in fat or candy I would throw up.
The surgery is minor compared to the horrible pain.

 Thanks for everyones responses. It sounds like I might have something like gallstones but I'm still not sure yet. The pain is also not THAT bad so I wonder if it might be nothing. Hopefully I'll know soon.
