Symptoms for Gall Bladder Issues?
Usually causes pain in the upper right side of your abdomen but I don't think it's constant pain, at least not usually. Might also cause nausea. When I had gall stones, the only symptom I had was nausea and my idiot doc kept telling me it couldn't be my gall bladder since I was just nauseous, no pain. I finally insisted on an ultrasound and sure enough, it was full of stones.
Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR. If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor. Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me. If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her. Check out my blog.
GB pain can radiate. Anywhere. Left or right. Right is much more common, but only test can tell if there is something going on.
The doc can run test to determine that. In a lot of cases - eating food higher in fat - may cause more pain 15 min to 1 hr after the meal. But not always.
Sometimes GB is enlarged and inflamed and will hurt all the time - low stubbing or burning pain. Sometimes - the pain comes and goes.
A lot of people report nausea when GB is not working properly.

Anyway.. my symptoms were in the lower right rib cage area. It was a throbbing pain (pulsing) about a 6 out of 10 on the pain scale. It happened about an hour after I ate and lasted about 15-30 minutes.
I've heard some folks say shooting pains from front to back, back pains, vomiting etc.. I didn't have that. It was more like a tooth ache type of throb under my lower right ribs.
The pain was so intense I thought I had ruptured something in my pouch. I had no idea what was going on. I couldn't walk to get to my car so I finally got a hold of a friend to take me to the ER and they did and ultrasound of my gallbladder and saw it was inflamed and full of gallstones. They spoke with my RNY surgeon and luckily the very next day he was able to remove it for me. Honestly it was the worst pain I have ever had in my life, but since it has been gone I haven't had any issues since.
