Best part is having confidence and believing in myself. Worst part is arguing with the DH over what we are eating for meals every day. He Doesn't like/want to eat like me. :(

Hmm.  My partner doesn't want to eat just like me, either.  And I don't care if he doesn't eat just like me.  I generally cook a healthy main dish and then serve some sort of bread and/or dessert for him.  And I might eat a little of those things, but not very much.  We don't ever fight about it.

Please note: I AM NOT A DOCTOR.  If you want medical advice, talk to your doctor.  Whatever I post, there is probably some surgeon or other health care provider somewhere that disagrees with me.  If you want to know what your surgeon thinks, then ask him or her.    Check out my blog.

I haven't had the surgery yet, so I can't comment on what the best thing is but I sure can comment on the worst....Waiting for your primary doc to fax information to surgeon so they can send off for authorization.  Mine was supposed to do it two days ago and guess what, they haven't done it yet.  I will probably be stopping there today to pick up the information, so I can fax it myself.....It is so frustrating.

Best thing: being free to be me and do whatever I want (no physical problems to stop me)
Worst thing: not being able to take Advil

Best thing: I've grown CLOSER to my fiance than I ever thought possible. He's afraid of needles and doctors but held my other hand while they put the iv's in for both my RNY AND my gallbladder surgery.  We're so close now that he knows before I feel it that I'm getting sick ..I'll be sitting there and he'll bring me a trash container..I'll open my mouth to say "whats that for" and out comes the vomit or foamies...

Worst thing: Depression that stems from lots of things *all WLS related* basically my life is one big mess right now and the only thing keeping me going is my fiance and the fact that I'm 2 lbs from goal. Everything else sucks lol

Best thing: being able to move (walk, climb stairs, vacuum the house even!) without the tremendous effort that it took to do ANYTHING when my BMI was 57

Worst thing: truly a tie between not being able to take NSAIDs for the arthritis (which did NOT improve with the weight loss) and not being satisfied with the size of the body I ended up with

The best thing is that I am simply alive;  pre surgery my docs gave me less than a year to live and I had my original RNY on 11-14-00.  The worst is that despite losing over 200 lbs, I consistantly have difficulty walking and can no longer walk without a cane, walker, or rollator.  I was able to walk without a cane prior to surgery but I was so exhausted that I had difficulty making it from one room to another.  I started out at over 570 lbs--I don't know how much because I simply didn't care at that point.

The best thing would be no longer having diabetes.

The worst thing would be the fact that I HATE being this skinny/thin.  I am WAAYY past my goal weight and praying I have bounceback after my 18 months.

Babygirl got her surgery March 3rd...     She's from 339 to 200 as of 6/14/2012.. SOO proud of my bigbabygirl

the BEST thing: feeling comfortable in public (not wondering if people are staring at me)

the WORST thing: the first 3 months was the constipation but now I have a grip on that it has to be the inability to make myself get to the gym or some form of exercise EVERYDAY ... just can't get myself there :(
