Do you ever just sit and watch?

It is so true that we used to do exactly what you are talking about... maybe worse.

It is very important to not judge others for what we needed surgical intervention to change. Important for them and important for us.

It sure is.  I would never judge them...this is just my mental process I guess taking over.

I never really noticed other people's eating habits prior to surgery, but I absolutely do now! I was out last week and watched a guy absolutely INHALE his chicken parm, in addition to bites of his son's pizza and his wife's chicken AND their appetizer. It was something to see, let me tell you. And all I could think is, "wow, I used to eat like that?" ~ right after thinking, "DUDE, slow down. Taste it." LOL

I'm amazed at how fast everyone seems to eat and I know that's how I ate before. Now, as I sit at the table trying to take a half hour to eat my meal, I watch how people never put their forks down. As soon as the food hits their mouth, the fork is getting ready for the next bite.
