Do you ever just sit and watch?
I have become very very aware of what everyone around me is eating since my surgery. I'm not the food police or anything but I notice all of it. Every day, my coworkers and I go out for lunch. I guess I could bring something from home but I'm not a good planner and I hate leftover meat. YUK. So today they go to Wendy's. Generally, I talk them out of fast food because I can't handle grease but figured I could do a salad or something. We all get our food and we're sitting down to eat when I notice one of their trays. OMG! I kept thinking that they put some of that on there by accident. A baked potato, spicy chicken wrap, jr burger, and water... Nope! She ate it all and then grabbed the fries off the other girls tray when she was finished. I just couldn't help but wander if anyone has every looked at my plate or tray and thought "is she really going to eat all of that?". I don't ever want to be that girl ever again. EVER!

I am sometimes amazed at how much people eat. I have to remind myself, I used to eat at least that much myself. And it's not that I expect people that haven't had WLS to eat like I do. I'm just much more aware of portion size and especially in restaurants, people often eat enough food that it should make three or four meals.

Yup I have noticed... I actually have felt sick watching the people eating at the tables around me at Texas Road House one time. I know I used to do it too and it makes you want to scream from the roof tops 'stop it, you will end up like I used to be' but... well that might get me arrested, lol.
I am pre-WLS and with reading all your posts I am starting to realize more and more how much I eat. I cannot wait until 3 oz's fills me up. We are using WLS for me as a tool to not only help me get healthy, but help my entire family. I want my daughter to be healthy and learn good habits, the current me is NOT a good teacher... I am lucky she listens to what I say versus what I do! My husband has gained a little weight in the 9 years we have been together (although I would DIE to weigh what he weighs) and wants to lose some weight. Since no one can cook but me, he is hoping that my new diet after WLS helps him too!
I just hope I can be non-judgemental when I lose weight. I never want to be the person who I feel looks at me and thinks "fatty"...
