Is it appropriate to eat baby food (meats and veggies) during the pureed stage?

I think so - in terms of texture.  However, the only ones I could stand were the fruits- the taste wasn't good to me.  I felt guilty about feeding this to my 3 children after I tasted it.  I just made a lot of soupy/saucy stuff and put it in the blender for myself.  That way I ate what the family ate - just in a different form.  I wish I would have fed my babies from a blender too - poor things.

Don't waste the $$$. Mine went to waste. It's much better to purée your own food than to eat that disgusting mush

It's fine if you like it.  Read the label to make sure it doesn't have added sugar - although I wouldn't think there would be added sugar in meat.  Some baby foods have lots of sugar, but I think that's mostly in the fruit.
