where do you keep your vitamins?
I love it Kelly! Why not on the table as a centerpiece? It's certainly the centerpiece of my life!
I take my morning things when my feet hit the floor and carry vitamins, biotin, vitamin d and calcium with me in a makeup bag. Since I don't have little ones at home anymore, I believe I might just do the table basket. I'm good during the week, but on weekends I tend to not get in my "work" bag to get my vitamins....so the table basket might just do the trick! Thanks for a nifty idea!

Heehee. I didn't even think of the symbolism there. It's the centerpiece of my life too.

I found a container at my local Winners (Like Marshalls for Canada) that has big compartments that you can adjust the size of. It is meant for supplements. I keep the majority of my supplements in there: iron, multis, calcium caplets, Vit D, Vit C, plus chewable probiotics and papaya enzyme. It stays on my kitchen counter. Upstairs in my office I keep my Thyroid and my B12 because I take it first thing in the morning. Lastly I keep my powdered Calcium Citrate next to my protein powder and crystal light, and I keep chewable bariatric advantage calcium citrate in my purse for when on the run. I also have two or three little sealed containers that have 2-3 days of everything I need plus a couple of tylenol and a GasX strip or two. There's alwasys one in my purse.
I have two 4-a-day week pill boxes that I set on top of my pills which are in a plastic bin on top of the bread box in my kitchen. If I slack off and don't fill those boxes, I can guarantee I will NOT take my pills other than occasional multi and my potassiums that I have to take or my levels will tank almost immediately. The idea is to fill one box while I'm using another but what really happens is that I use both weeks and then spend a week telling myself to refill both boxes before I do. That's a work in progress. All my vitamins are in that bin except my Coromega which sits in front of the bread box with the top torn off. If I had my way, I'd take about 12 of those a day. Such a great way to start the day.
All my bottles live on a shelf in the kitchen, as I hate clutter. My pills, once dispensed, go in one of two places: A champagne glass next to my water bottle if I stay home or in a Tupperware container on my desk at work. I have to have a visual in order to keep on track. If we are traveling and I stick my container in my purse, I am in trouble, as the old saying goes, "Out of sight, out of mind".
It's always easy to tell when someone ha**** a nerve with a great topic because there are so many replies. It's a seemingly innoncent little question, where do you keep your vitamins - but everyone has some level of an issue with it!
I take liquid calcium - kept in the fridge. So that is my first stop in the morning - the fridge. That sends me across the kitchen to the cupboard where my husband and I keep a plastic bin full of all of our vitamins and supplements, and a smaller plastic containers hold his prescriptions, and mine. So, at the cupboard I grab my Vitamin D and my multi to take with the calcium. Repeat same ritual before going to bed.
The mid day is the tough part. I carry a little pill box, and during the work week I take one pill form calcium and separate little D pills, and a multi just for insurance, and put them in my purse. I'd say I remember to take them about half the time. On the weekend I may end up taking MORE than necessary because I knock around the kitchen so much, every time I open that cupboard I think "did I take my mid-day calcium yet?" Since my short term memory is close to inoperable, I wind up figuring I didn't so take them on the spot. So, remembering mid-day at work is an issue for me. Work in progress... good ideas here though!

My multi, biotin, and potassium are in the bathroom and I take them in the morning while the shower water heats up. Calcium, b-12 and D are either in a basket on the ledge above the sink, or the over head bin at my desk at work. The work day routine works much better. Because i am at my desk for many hours a day. Weekends are a little more challenging.
Then at night when i go upstairs to get the kids meds, both scripts and both kept under lock and key, i finish out my nightly meds.
Yes I have bought multiple bottles of vitamins to ensure that they are always available. So I have a complete set of vitamins at the office, in case it's one of those mornings, or a very late night at work.
