Random Poll o' the Week: Calling all weirdos!
I know there are other things that people would just look at me crazy but I've drawn a blank. I love chocolate chips melted on a flour tortilla (30 seconds in the microwave), mayo on my fries/tater tots, french fries dragged through a chocolate shake, pork n bean sandwiches (white bread, mayo and beans straight from the can) eaten over the kitchen sink, hummus scooped with Pringles.
Clearly all these were preop and very rarely eaten even then, but so good.
Oh and I never realized noodles with just sprinkle cheese and butter was considered odd but I've eaten it that way forever.

I keep thinking of stuff. This might not win for weirdness but probably for heart stopping grossness.
Nik's Pre-op Breakfast special:
1 steaming hot bowl of grits (probably about 2-3 cups)
2 fried eggs (over medium)
3-4 slices of bacon
2-3 tablespoons bacon grease
Butter (probably a tablespoon or so)
Salt and Pepper
Directions:
Put it all in a bowl and mu**** around. Eat!
I used to have that at least once a week. No lie.

BACON GREASE ROCKS!!!!!
I used to use bacon grease for a lot of things. The two that come to mind are frying eggs for Sunday breakfast (not a fan of eggs, but the family LOVES them), and making my homemade tomato (pasta) sauce. I probably still have some frozen in a Tupperware because we used to eat a lot of bacon.

My wife and kids think it's disgusting that I like ketchup on my mac and cheese and even on white rice. When you are raised by a single teen mom on welfare, you have to find a cheap way to doctor up that gov't cheese. White rice was cheap and a staple in my mom's kitchen (I'm Latino), but it was very common for us to have it with a can of tuna, a fried egg, or for me just the aforementioned ketchup. Sometimes for lunch, my brother and I would eat saltines with white rice on top.
Bacon sandwich, with peanut butter or ketcup. My sisters and I would do that when we would have sunday morning breakfast as kids. I also don't like salt. I don't think it's weird but a lot of people I know do. I don't cook with it or add it to any foods I eat. I can't stand the taste of it. When I would go thur the drive thur preop I would often as for my fries without salt.
