Ooh, does the Amish market have tons of homemade baked goods?  Where I used to live, there was an Amish bakery/store about an hour away and a friend and I used to drive out there about once a month.  They had cheese and probably deli meat and I don't know what else, but we mainly went for the baked goods.  They had the best cinnamon rolls and they had homemade bread and all kinds of pies and cakes and.... well, stuff I shouldn't/couldn't eat now.  But OMG,  it was yummy.

They have the BEST baked cooked. Breads and cinnamon buns and cakes and pies. Ooh their whoopie pies were so good. Of course now I can't eat heavy flour things even if they are sugar free. I miss the baked goods. Ooh their homemade soft pretzels are what they are known for. THE BEST. And they have good fried chicken. All things I can't eat now!

Just got back from the amish market. We bought black walnut extract, popcakes (let me know if you don't know what they are!) , spinach alpine dip, bri, buffalo style deli turkey, and some chicken salad. It was torture smelling those pretzels and I ignored the bakery section altogether I did have lots of samples of flavored cream cheese and that made me feel so icky!

They are SO good! I have a hard time with heavy things like bread and pita so these are perfect for me. If you are near an amish market they probably have them there and they sometimes have them at Whole Foods. They go by a few different names. Pop Rice Cakes, Popcakes, Cocopopcake or something like that. Here is a good description of them.

I'm not sure for today....

Going to be on the road today for 5-6 hours so I can make it to a party in Dallas, Tx tonight. I do know there will be sushi for dinner though!
