Is this thrush?
My tongue is also really sore, though that might be partly because I scraped a bunch of this icky stuff off it last night. I have a couple spots inside my mouth besides my tongue that feel sore.
I read that thrush is rare in healthy adults. Apparently taking antibiotics can throw things off and you can get thrush then but I have not been on any antibiotics in a long time.
If it is thrush, do I have to go to the doctor? Is there anything I can do myself to get rid of it? I read that eating yogurt sometimes helps but I eat a ton of yogurt already - I usuall eat about two cups of it a day.

Thrush can be just on the tongue or on the inside of your mouth.

Immediately, I went holistic and soaked my tongue in TWO THINGS throughout the day for two to three days and my tongue was like a baby's again. I took PLAIN YOGURT and just kept a mouthful on my tongue for as long as I could without swallowing. Then I would also use Extra Virgin Coconut Oil in the same manner...no swallowing, being sure to keep my tongue immersed in the stuff. I would swish quite a bit of the EVCO for a while a couple of times a day.
Immediately, the yogurt soothed my aching tongue and the EVCO lubricated it and kept it from being so dry and cracking. It was gone in a matter of days WITHOUT PRESCRIPTION.
I also read up on Apple Cider Vinegar and remember gargling with it too, but can't remember the details as to how often because the other stuff seemed to make more sense. But there is something beneficial to the ACV.

Thanks for the suggestions.
