Chinese food...bad bad bad

If you try again ask them to leave out the MSG. I found that my chinease restaurant uses it like crazy and it turned my stomache and intestines inside out every time. Once I asked them to leave it out things were better. Of course this was before RNY, I am still on liquids so havent verntured out yet!

I can't help but wonder if that is what is making me sick.  There isn't any other grilled chicken or broccoli that would do me that way.

agree with the MSG... my chinese stores here in the DC area has a "special diet" section which I order from which I can tolerate.  I also dont order ANYTHING other than shrimp cause it's recognizable.

Not trying to be stereotypical or sound racist BUT the way certain ethnicities chop up their meats.. like my fellow jamaicans chop up their chicken like they 1/2 chicken legs Sigh.. so I dont eat chicken from my caribbean spots...

 

I like to KNOW what I am eating...so if it resembles it I'm ok!

I say its the MSG also...I had this issue and it even made my lips and feet tingly.....wicked stuff

It makes me violently ill too. I think it might be MSG. I never ask for no-MSG stuff so maybe. But now I have a mind thing about Chinese food so it doesn't really matter anymore.

Me either Nik...after today I will never step foot in that place again.

Sometimes I wish I knew what this was like! I can eat anything and everything since very early on including chinese buffet! My question is where do you get chinese buffet for 5 dollars! lol everyone I have been to is atleast 12 or more! lol But seriously I have no issues! So I have to still have willpower and control like prior to surgery, the only difference is I am full on much less!
