Anxiety/Panic attacks?

I have had terrible anxiety and panic attack for years.  After my surgery last year I noticed that I hadn't had any since my surgery.  After my NUT cleared me I started drinking coffee again, 2 cups a day and they returned.  I quit the caffiene again and they have almost completely stopped.  I have had a few since then but not like before when it was daily.  I miss coffee like crazy but I don't miss the attacks.

Yeah I cut out caffeine a year or so ago and have done a WAY lot better as far as escaping panic attacks. I still have the anxiety attacks / edge of panic attacks (the "I can't breathe" feeling), but I haven't had a full blown panic in a while.

at least until August 16  LOL

I have these attacks all the time, so I am on medicine for it all the time.  I know however they are getting worst closer to surgery.  Many times when you get there they give you something, if not ask.  good Luck

Anxiety is pretty prevalent in the majority of people, so you'll get lots of suggestions. Keep your mind busy and positive, especially day of. I was a bundle of emotions the morning of surgery and until the Xanax in my IV took effect (and boy did it ever! I don't remember crap about going to the OR), I had my husband just talk to me about ANYTHING while we were waiting. I actually haven't had a panic attack since surgery and it helps to cut out caffeine.

Yes, when I had surgery I told the Anethesologist to give me something for anxiety.. All I remember was walking to the OR with a calm and peacefully feeling and nothing else.. I dont even remember getting on the table at all.
