UGH SO SICK from chicken
Chicken has been the devil for me until recently and I'm 7 months out. I've had it stick badly a few times so I'm really careful. I either toss down some water and throw up, which usually unsticks the chicken, or take a small sip or 2 of coke. It kind of dissolves things away.
Good luck. I hope you feel better soon.

Poor girl. The worst episode I had after surgery was chicken getting stuck. I got the foamies--thought I was going to die. Well wished I would really. The pain in my chest was like a heart attack. God awful. I surely hope ith as cleared up for you love. I know some people say papaya enzyme tablets. Might be worth a shot. Do you think it is the sweet from the sauce?
Hang in there. Mine almost killed me for about an hour then passed.
Let us know how you are!!

I second the use of papaya enzymes. In fact, I keep them with me. You can get them at CVS. Walgreens, Target, Walmart, practically every grocery store in their pharmacutical aisle.
Today, I went with my daughter to pick up my grandson at camp. The program ran long and we needed to find a place to eat supper. I had chicken. Very little at first. In fact, I think the teen at the next table was thinking what is she eating? It was tiny amount. Wanted to know if it would do well in my pouch before I attempted more.
The fact that I am more than 40 months post op says it all about the caution that I take with chicken.
I have had problems where I had to grab a plastic bag and dump the contents in the back seat in order to catch my vomit. I know TMI. It was chicken.
I suggest that you do not add water or anything else. Tomorrow, help heal your pouch with warm not hot herbal tea. It is safe to say that at times, it may take all of one day to feel better.
Let me tell you that there were days when chicken went down well and the next day it caused the foamies and pain.
Chicken is highly fibrous.

I had not thrown anything up until I was about 18 months post-op and ate some chicken that was too dry (and ate it a bit too fast)... I was miserable for about 30 minutes and then it just came back up... and then I felt MUCH better. Chicken can be problematic for many people and it seems to be the most dependent on how it is cooked and how well it is chewed.
I hope you feel better soon.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Wow, all of a sudden I am having trouble with chicken too, 10 wks post op. I was fine with dark meat until last week. Ate some, chewed my normal chews and it got stuck. No foamies or vomiting but I had to lay down for an hour. Then again last night. Always moist, always dark meat. Crazy! I truly depend on chicken!
