I am shocked, I think your boss needs a refresher course in the Hippa laws.  You really could get her ass in a sling for that.  

If I want everyone to know my biz all I have to do is tell my wife. The difference is- I don't give a #%@& who knows. I'm proud to say that I've finally done something positive for myself and if people can't understand or respect my decision then I'm not interested in what they have to say about me.

That's right!  As the saying goes..  Those how mind, don't matter & those who matter don't mind.  =)

 I feel your pain as well.  I wasn't going to tell anyone except my husband and my mom.  My husband really wanted to tell his mom and after thinking long and hard, I said ok.  Well, she has went and told EVERYONE!!  I have a good relationship with her and I know she didn't tell anyone to be spiteful, but still..........Hang in there girl!!

I am so sorry about your family's lack of understanding about this.  I too have decided to keep this outside my social circle.  My family is very judgmental & both my husband & I agree that isn't what we need to add to our list right now.  Not only am I 12 days pre op,   (OMG, I am so excited)  but we are moving out of the country in less than 90 days.  So we decided that it's really nobody's business but our own.  Not even my work knows..  I just took time off..  I figure, I will take that questions as they come.  I hope you put your foot down.   Good luck.  xoxo
