I have stretch marks and since losing a lot of weight my skin looks all crinkly and horrible. I hate it,

I am worried about this too..  That is why I posted the question about compression suits & body wraps.  One person told me that a spanks works just as well..  That you get a good lotion or streach mark cream & then wear the spanks.  I am having a body wrap girl come over & show me some of her stuff.  I will let you know what I find out.

Goes with the territory Our skin had to stretch to accommodate the fat. Another way that obesity damages our bodies.

I too am planning for my tummy tuck!

For now, invest in some good shapewear. Also, start saving for plastics or make sure your credit rating is good so you can get a loan when you are ready. My excess skin drove me insane, even though I could hide it pretty well with shapewear. I'm 4 weeks out from my lower body lift and breast lift and finally feel "whole" again.

I never had a time in my life when I didn't have stretchmarks. My breasts had stretch marks from as early as I can remember and I always had theme everywhere else. When i was pregnant with my son they became bigger, redder and much deeper, and now they're the same crinkly as you describe.

In a way they are always a reminder to me of how fat I was (still am, but getting better ) My skin just wasn't built to accomodate that kind of bulk and I will remember it when I look at it!!

I will say the skin sagging is pretty yucky looking.. I personally have a little pile of it on my lower abdomen that I can wad into a ball. I'm pretty sure I could drop another 2 sizes if I could just get rid of that skin. But that said - it's there and until I drop another 30 and keep my weight stable, it's staying there.

There is absolutely no solution to it other than plastic surgery (in my future plans) but in the meantime, you just have to think about the big picture and how amazing you look and feel now! I know I'm far more attractive and healthy with the massive skin sags than I was 180 lbs heavier. I try and dress for it and find things that help camoflague it - skirts that flare out around my tummy and pants that sit lower on the hips and won't accentuate it. Shapewear just seems to make it pile up towards my waist so I avoid that.

If you find something awesome... let me know!
