Funny how things change.....
I have spent 11 months in preparation for WLS and was really prepared for this. I even went so far as to print out a bunch of different stage recipes and put the pages in page protectors and in a binder divided into "shakes", "pureed/mushy", "life" as a cookbook of sorts. I began to get worried about the pureed/mushy stage seeing that according to my surgeon it should be week 2-6 of post op. Nothing really looked great about that stage and I was worried that since I'd be on it so long that I'd get bored or wouldn't find anything to eat.
Well, it's funny how things change!! Here I am, after just having RNY 7/21 (last Thursday) and I've got another 9 days before I can go to the pureed/mushy stage and I cannot WAIT to get there! I am sooooo looking forward to refried beans with a bit of ff cheese and the thought of cottag cheese at this point really gets me salivating. LOL I'm actually looking FORWARD to the pureed stage. Wooo Hoooooo Bring it on already!!!
Just thought I'd share my moment.

I would have to agree completely. The thought of pureed food was not exactly mouthwatering..lol. But now, having been on a liquid diet for the past 8 days and 5 more to go, I cannot wait to taste those refried beans, cottage cheese, or pureed cream soups. MMMmm good!
I finally have my surgery on 8/1 and cannot wait! 5 more days!!!!
Good luck and God bless.
